When one sees Ed Beitzel's work, the words you usually hear are "amazing", "how life-like", and "how did he do that?!?"
Ed started out carving bears - what he is still most known for - but has developed a new technique for carving wood that allows him to "whittle" small slivers of wood in order to create the breathtaking wooden flowers you see below. They must be seen to be believed.
Ed also recently was commissionsed by the Lincoln County School District to carve a statue of Chief Washakie. Read more about this and see pictures here. You can also see his unique "Eagle Log" here.
